Government Medical College, Nashik
Established through a Government Resolution (GR) dated April 5, 2021, Government Medical College, Nashik (GMC Nashik) is dedicated to providing excellence in medical education and healthcare services. The institution commenced its MBBS program in the academic year 2024-2025 with an initial intake of 50 students, as part of an approved capacity of 100 MBBS seats.
Currently, GMC Nashik operates from the premises of Bytco Hospital under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). To ensure the comfort and convenience of students, hostel facilities have been arranged within the Fire Brigade Residential Quarters located within the Bytco Hospital campus.
The Dean’s Office functions from both Bytco Hospital and the District Civil Hospital, Nashik. The District Civil Hospital, Nashik—the largest district hospital in North Maharashtra—is affiliated with GMC Nashik through an MoU, serving as a major healthcare provider for Nashik district and neighboring regions.
Efforts are currently underway to establish a permanent campus, with site inspections in progress for land acquisition. GMC Nashik envisions a state-of-the-art medical institution that fosters academic excellence, clinical expertise, and research innovation, contributing to the advancement of healthcare in the region.
